Jared Alon is an independent furniture designer/maker in the Hudson Valley. After earning a degree in furniture design and woodworking and spending the better part of a decade at the bench, Jared works at the intersection of traditional hand-cut joinery and modern technology, using whichever brings the most quality and precision to the piece. It's not about doing things by hand for its own sake but rather about choosing the right tool for the job to bring a piece to life

Materials are chosen with the same standard; highlighting their raw texture and character, and used in a way that lets those qualities show rather than covering it up.

The result is furniture built to be lived with and passed down, work that holds up to close inspection because every decision behind it, from joinery to material, was made in service of the piece, not the process.
